Historical Perspective
Govt. College Bahadurgarh is one of the premiere institutions in the area imparting quality education in Humanities, Science and Commerce faculties. It offers courses in B.A (Pass), B.Com. (Pass), B.Com. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Med), B.Sc. (Non. Med), BBA, BCA and M.A. Hindi (distance education). In addition to offering above courses, the college faculty also lays emphasis on character building of its students. Moral and ethical values are inculcated among students through various extra–curricular activities. The college was established in July 1967 as the Evening College in one room of the Senior Secondary School, Bahadurgarh. In 1970, it was also upgraded to the Day College with evening shift. On 5

October, 1981, the college was transferred to its own newly constructed building at Balour Road under natural surroundings with an approximate area of 21 acres. On 11 July, 2003, Women Wing was introduced in old building of Civil Hospital. Thus now Govt. College Bahadurgarh has three constituents: Day College, Evening Shift and Women Wing. Govt. College Bahadurgarh is one of the 25 Govt. Colleges of Haryana declared as College of Excellence Higher Education Deptt. Of Haryana. The College is affiliated with M.D. University Rohtak.
